The coming weeks will be the last opportunity to shop at our Charity Shop, ‘Rough Edges’. We will be closing this summer. For the last eleven years Rough Edges has endeavoured to raise funds to support our essential work at Zac’s Place, supporting people living in food poverty, or who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and often facing other challenges too. During the initial years, we enjoyed opening the shop up to four and half days a week with a large volunteer team. Post Covid we have struggled to maintain this momentum and in recent years have only been able to open one day a week. It has become increasingly difficult for it to be sustainable, both financially and with personnel. We are incredibly thankful to Richard and Kathryn who have been stalwarts in keeping the shop ticking over in recent times, and initiating a huge clean up of the yard and shop.
